Watching the "where are they now" episode. The first mom up is Jaime. Her DD is15 months, and they showed her in a RF convertible (myride, I think)!!!

Baby steps, people, baby steps.

Yay!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that. DH was giving the kids a bath & I went in there & told him 1 of the girls had her 15 mo old RF. He sarcastically said " oh my gosh!". Lol I'm a nerd ;)

Lol!! I saw it too (it was a Myride!) and had to come here and check if anyone had posted yet!! Hehe :)
Is it wrong that I am happy to be having another baby just so I can ERF and get new carseats????? Lol! Well, I'm happy otherwise also, but really excited about the carseat possibilities.......

Wow that is REALLY awesome. I was telling somebody recently about how atrocious the seat usage is on that show. I saw a picture on FB not too long ago of one of those babies in a GN. The baby seriously looks like a newborn or at least a very young baby.

Yeah, I haven't watched the whole thing, I ended up falling asleep after the first few, so I didn't see about the breastfeeding mom yet - that's awesome!

I know they *probably* rosied-it-up for the recap, but I thought the first few girls looked like they were doing really well. The one who I think had her daughter at 15, and is 16 now? She seemed really mature, though I feel REALLY bad for her mom who essentially never sleeps so that she can take care of the baby. DH worked 3rd shift and then parented DS during the day while I worked for the first 18 months, and he was a zombie.

Which seeason where ae they now is this?

This was the Season 3 girls - the majority were train wrecks, lots of run-ins with the law, drugs, etc. MTV didn't do a Teen Mom with them because they were all messes (or at least that's the word on the blogs)

She is from my town and works at the Subway just up from my house. She is so level headed and takes such good care of Miah. She is goal oriented and so focused on doing the best she can for her and her daughter.

I also noticed that RF child and was pleasantly surprised! Especially after the awful misuse with the other kids. I didn't see all of that episode though because I fell asleep before the end. It was on so late!

I don't remember most of those girls from when the episodes first aired and wondered why there wasn't a Teen Mom season with them. I had to laugh at the reason being that they were "train wrecks" and that is why. If they are, then what the heck were the girls from the other seasons, like Amber Portwood, Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer? You've got Amber arrested for beating up her boyfriend in front of their daughter, Jenelle with her drug problem and constant fighting with her mother and that boyfriend, Kiefer, Leah having her twins, getting married, admitting to cheating on her DH just before the wedding, getting divorced, engaged again, pregnant again, and then sadly, suffering a miscarriage, all in the span of a couple of years. If anything, I figured MTV would be looking at the "train wreck" cases, just to make sure people would be watching.

True, but I think most of that crazy started AFTER the Teen Mom bit - and there was at least 1 mom this cycle who admitted to getting pregnant to be on the show (or something to that effect). I know that Kianna and Danielle are a bunch of hot messes all over twitter (I read them Starcasm, and the Teen Mom Talk blog). And didn't one of them have their baby taken by CPS after a raid or something?

I think the whole thing needs to be done, honestly. It's become a crazy trainwreck show (ala Jersey Shore).

I got excited too  I must have missed the 16 month old bfing though, I saw Jordan? bfing her NEW baby and thought that was great, she struggled w/ bfing during her episode with her first. And some of the moms are trainwrecks, I wish they'd stop following Amber and Janelle.
