Hiking backpack /structured carrier?

Looking for recs on a framed hiking backpack for DS. Are there any that hold them in the proper knees above bum seated position? I have one that was given to me, but it has a narrow seat like the non-ergonomic baby carriers so I worry about his hip/leg position, especially since we are planning some long treks this spring.
We went hiking today and he was in his usual TMD buckle tai and kept twisting and contorting trying to see things. He had his sunhat on and can barely see over the top of the carrier so his field of vision wasn't very good. I tried him in front and back and it just won't work. He's too curious :)

My SIL and some friends spoke very highly of their Kelly carriers. I don't personally know anything about them, though.

I have a Chicco one that I really like. I'll even post a pic in a minute. DH just put DD in it to take her out for farm chores.

It's challenging to get her strapped in; the buckles are hard to access. But once she's in it's nice and secure. It has a right-angle type seat in it, so her knees are in front of her as if she were sitting on a chair. Definitely not a "crotch dangler."

The chest clip on it is super high up, which was important to me because I can't buckle most carriers over my J/K sized chest. It takes some getting used to, but it's nice that it doesn't squish the boobies when I wear it. ;)

It comes with a removable rain cover for hiking in the rain, too.

ETA: I remember the name now: Chicco Smart Support.

I got mine on NBD for pretty cheap, like under $50 I think.
