I washed it per instructions and out turned magenta! Hopefully it was a fluke! They are kind enough to send me a new one. They have some really good customer service!

It is very pretty but I don't think I'm ever going to be washing my Daytona cover now cause I don't think Gavin would be to pleased with a pink cover.

Wow, love it! Did you wash on hot/warm? Did it run? Just curious from a fabric stand point.

If it was washed in cold and still did this, could be bad news for the purple (also has red dye in it)...

Keep your bills ladies!

I heard of a way to keep the red dye from bleeding out of the fabric years ago. I use it on clothes that have something red but are mostly another light color, like white, to keep the red from bleeding. Take some salt and dissolve it in warm water, then mix it in with enough cold water to cover the fabric, and let it soak. Then it can be washed and dried normally. I would think it would take quite a bit of salt, maybe 1/2 a cup, for a car seat cover. I think I use about a tablespoon and a sink full of water for a shirt or something. It has always seemed to work on the clothes I've used it on. It might help the red covers from turning pink!!

I like red better but that is a nice magenta!!! You should tell Diono you changed your mind and want to keep it. And then sell it at a ridiculously high price as a special one of a kind cover!
