we have a sunshine radian 65sl.. i have gone to out local location for safe seat where they said i have the strap tight enough... but my just about 3year old daughter can still get her arms out because the buckle seems to slide so easily down the straps!! i have seen advice on modifications such as sewing a button under to stop it from happening but im not sure how safe that it. Has anyone had any issues like this and been able to fix it? or any suggesstions? thank you

Definitely don't use a button..you don't want to interfere with the harness any. What you can do is take two toilet paper rolls (empties) and thread the harness through them so that they are between the crotch buckle and the chest clip. That way your LO cannot push the chestclip down and the toilet paper rolls don't interfere with the harness.

Toilet paper tubes work great (measure first to make sure they aren't too long). You also want to wrap them in duct tape first. Otherwise, the child will just pick them apart and still get out. Maybe some of the cute, printed tape and let her put stickers on them if you want. If she helps make them, she's less likely to tear them apart.

The other good option is to put on a button-up shirt. Leave it open until she's buckled. Then you button it up over the harness. She can't get out then (unless she can undo buttons).

thank you for the advice. definitely something worth trying! My LO can definitly undo buttons so unfortunately that one is out... I did call Radian bc after some research saw several other complaints about the chest clip sliding down way too easily and how easy it is to undo.. they hae since come out with a newer version of the chest clip and offered to send one to me! So I am hoping that will help also :)
