Triumph, Titan & Airbooster at Target

Saw the new Triumph (in "Barley") and Titan (in "Lexington"...a grayish-green I didn't really like) at one of the local (Richmond) Targets today.

The labels on them say the Triumph Advance is for up to "50 lbs, 50 inches" and the Titan is for up to "50 lbs, 47 inches". Triumph Advance = $129; Titan = $99.

I tried DS1 (52 lbs, 47.5") in the Triumph, and of course, he would be too heavy, but he still fit (at least, he fit with the seat sitting on the floor, not in a car.) (I didn't try the Titan; DS1 had had enough carseat "shopping.") :)

This looks like a good HWH option for the money. However, I feel like a Britax seat (like the Marathon, which is a pretty straightforward seat...not a lot of extras to break) holds up really well over its full lifespan, plus the Marathon is a lot easier to clean, and the harness can be easily replaced if needed.

Also tried DS1 in the Graco Airbooster ($99). He liked it, and it ratchets up pretty tall...the top of the Airbooster went about 4 inches above the top of his head. I like the color of the one in Target, except it's too light. I'll wait for the blue or gray one to come out (hopefully there will eventually be a blue or gray one!)

Also: Saw SS1 on clearance for $90; regular Triumph for $65; AO for $119; Graco Comfortsport for about $65.

I need to check to see if our Target has the Airbooster...I think DD would love it when she is ready for a booster.

That's such a great picture of your DD in the TA! It makes me want to get one for my great-niece to use in one of her parents' cars (I'd better start saving!). (I probably will...eventually she'll outgrow the Scenera...she has a FPSVD in one car, but I think her parents are more used to Evenflo products since she started out with two Triumphs (which are now RF for her little sister.) :)

I saw those at Target the other day, too (Hooksett NH). They were all in boxes though so I couldn't try them out.

I also was evesdropping on two women browsing in the carseat section (I love to hear how the 'average' person thinks about carseat stuff). They were looking at the marathon and saying how the baby is "all sprawled out" because she has a seat like that and that she'd rather get "something like this" and pointed to the the AOE and the EB all in one.
