Question Carseat Question for traveling

We will be going to England over the summer. We need to take carseats for our twins as we will driving around, however, we will be staying in London for a week first. So we are looking at carseats or harnesses that would be easy to carry through airports but also around London (using underground and trains to arrive at destinations). Our twins are 5 years, 38 lbs and 41 lbs. Any recommendations?

Non-EU approved car seats are not legal to use in EU. No one in UK will likely care or notice. It's nice to hear that you are planning ahead and thinking of the kids safety on the ground.

At age 5 you could bring a high back booster which provide the same safety as a harness seat. A booster cushion will provide similar safety as well and would be easy to bring with you. Downside with using a cushion would be if kids fall asleep and are then likely not a good position.

If you will be staying there for a long while an inexpensive hbb such as Britax Adventure (also called Highline) is a good choice.
