2 Radian RXT Questions

Hi All!

So yesterday I took our new RXT to a safety tech to check my install... It was great but I have two questions that the tech and I were both unsure about:

(1) can someone point me to information that says radians allow bracing... I do NOT have advanced air bags and my car (04 Saturn ion coupe) users manual says nothing about touching the passenger seat. We couldn't find anything in the RXT manual that says bracing (or touching) is allowed by the car seat so for now there is a small space but I would love to move the passenger seat back if possible!

(2) we put the straps on the third slot (they are right even with of not just slightly below DD's shoulders rfing)... So the head wings have to be used right? We pushed them all the way down and the bottom of the wings are only even with the bottom of her ears... Is this ok?

Sorry this is long but thanks for reading!

Yes, if your vehicle does not prohibit it, you can brace the Radian. You can also use the RF tether to recline your angle a little more. Contact Diono.

Your child has to be properly fitted (harness at or below shoulders) in the 3rd harness slots in order to use the headwings. Typically, the wings are going to be a little awkward on kids who are *just right* on the 3rd slot. That's sorta the boat we're in right now. You do not have to use the wings; you can leave them up until they "fit" a little better. Many times, I don't even use the wings on ours because DS2 gets annoyed with them. They're pretty obstructive and he has his head poked out 99% of the time. In all honestly, I only got the RXT because I wanted the Cobalt cover. If Cobalt came in an R120 (no wings), I would have gone that route.

Thank you so much! The passenger seat is used so infrequently it may be a non-issue... I'll just have to see.

As for the head wings I may just wait to use them... I know they might not actually help but they make me feel better sink want to use them correctly!
