Dd is driving me crazy! Idk if its the pregnancy that's making her act out or what. She's starting complaining that her straps are too tight and she can't breathe. It's not too tight. It's barely acceptable after I "fix" it for her. On the way home today we were at the stop light to turn onto our street and she unbuckled! I freak out and she ended up crying but I think she got the point. She said to me well were almost home! I don't know were she got that because its always been a rule you don't unbuckle until I turn the car off. I sure hope she grows out of this soon!

Sofi has been the same way about her straps! She cried half the way home from Target tonight because "it's so tight it hurts my shoulders like its on fire." When I got home and checked, it was *just* acceptable. It normally would be tighter with me  Darn carseat poncho

Not sure what has gotten into mine either. She's 18 months and starting to pitch a huge screaming fit getting into her seat. Not every time, but at least once a day. And she can twist like a pro and straighten her legs out where it's impossible to sit her down. She arches her back and pushes her chest out. I feel terrible forcing her in there! I know it's just the age, but I'm ready for this stage to pass!

sounds like my almost 3 yr old... heres my solution... i doubt it will even make sense written down... before we get in the car, i pick him up & kinda fold him in half... sit him in the seat with my one arm on his shoulder pinning him down & quick grab the crotch strap & get one side done while still pinning him... then get the other... lol... it works, but takes some practice :)

This, This, This!!!!:D I did this exactly with DD when she was about 2 for a period of time.. I felt crazy in Parking lots because I was sure someone was going to think I was stealing her! Same thing when I wanted to put her in her stroller! What a fight!

^^ this is exactly my method for last few weeks! My DD is only 14 months and she just started haaating the car again! :-( I just keep saying its a phase and it will pass lol but DH won't even put her in her seat and always says "you be the bad guy" which I then make getting in there sound like the most amazing thing ever and 50% of the time it's bearable lol. Sometimes I have to bribe her with a few goldfish lol! :-/ and now DH is like "maybe she's uncomfortable... Maybe she needs more leg room........" I just say "stop. She's fine. We've been over the benefits a hundred times" it's getting a little rough lately but I take a deep breathe, give myself the quick this too shall pass chat and on we go!
