Nifty little elastic holders to keep the harness out of the way

Crotch padding is attached to the cover and is not removable. There is one position in the cover, but 2 in the shell. My 100% + 2.5 yr old (who wears cloth) has more than enough room with the buckle in the outer postion. A lot of other convertibles were really tight in the crotch, even on the outer most position.

Oh and that slit you see in front of the buckle? That's the harness adjuster. It's amazing. It's buried enough that little hands won't be able to get to it if they're properly buckled, but there is NO digging to find the harness adjuster.

Headrest all the way up

Lots of foam!
422951_3477053168914_1348787902_3465186_358811457_n.jpg

Reclined with the headrest in the 7th position, which is the highest that's allowed for RF (this is NOT in the manual anywhere, I contacted peg and was told that they were going to change the manuals. Great for those seats, but what about the seats that are out now and parents who don't know?)
429588_3477054008935_1348787902_3465187_1949888919_n.jpg

My average size, maybe a little on the small side, 4yr 10month 42lb dd with the headrest in the 7th position.

Very impressed with the depth and leg room.

Installed in the captain chair of my '06 town and country. Installed like a dream! My seats are very sloped, so it might be better in other vehicles, but I did notice it was pretty upright, which I love for my 2 yr old, but I could see smaller babies needing a pool noodle (which is ok per the manual)

Next to the radian

With my long torso'd 2 yr old. Not the best picture, I couldn't get her to sit still long. I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure the headrest is all the way up.

I can see this causing some confusion with some. The manual doesn't come right out and say not to rf tether it. It talks about ff tethering.

427489_3477067169264_1348787902_3465203_1662726618_n.jpg

One of the only issues I've found so far. RF belt path is very small and I had to get it through at just the right angle or the belt wouldn't fit through.

FF lock off

It has seperate latch for each side, like the Britax seats do. It slides on a hidden bar, much like the britax seats, for rear to forward. So no rethreading.

My DD is wearing those leggings today, under a striped skirt and with a green shoes/purse shirt.:p

So what does the manual say about RFing? What's the printed height limit/clearance? I know the top 3 harness slots can't be used for RFing, but what does the manual actually SAY?

Completely off topic from the peg (which I like the looks of), but HOW did you get your Frontier installed in the third row, passenger side? That's exactly where I want mine to go (I have an 07 T&C) and I can't for the life of me get a good install. What are your tricks?

How many headrest positions are there total? I played with it today and it was nice.

With the headrest in the 7th click position, which gives your 4 yo more rf height between the peg and the radian?

From the manual : Use rear facing with children who weigh between 5 and 45 lbs. Use rear facing if head is at least one inch below headrest edge.

Nothing about positions...

I can't. :( Belt isn't long enough for lbp and no latch. It usually rides in the captain chair. :/

I didn't get a chance to put my 4 yr old in the radian, it's my friend's seat. But my 2 yr old has almost exactly the same amount, maybe a little more in the peg. But she fits much better in the peg because it's much deeper.

If this seat had rebound control, there would already be one in my car LOL. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping they add a rebound feature in the near future.

Did you happen to ask Peg if it is allowed to be more upright than 40°? I know the manual said 40-45, but obviously their manual isn't accurate anyway

What is the rear facing shell height, which it sounds like in this case would not be shell height, but actually the height to the top of the head piece in 7th position, right? I'm wondering how it compares to other seats for RF height. Thanks!

I love the looks so far, but Gah what is with these manufacturers and 22 lbs (Dorel says 22 lbs for more upright install; Peg says 22 lbs for the padding)?! I know my kid is a lightweight but he'll be three in July and is 21 lb still.

From the manual : Use rear facing with children who weigh between 5 and 45 lbs. Use rear facing if head is at least one inch below headrest edge.

Nothing about positions...

The back height for the Primo Viaggio SIP 5-70 Convertible is approximately 21 inches with the headrest in the highest position. For a proper fit, the child’s head must be at least 1 inch below the top of the head rest. A larger back height can accommodate a larger child.

There are 10 different harness slot heights on the Primo Viaggio SIP 7-70 Convertible, which can be adjusted even with the child in the seat. The slot measurements are:

9.6”
10.3”
11.1”
11.9”
12.6”
13.4”
14.2”

15.0”
15.7”
16.5”

The lower seven positions can be used for rear-facing mode. This allows for a 14.2-inch maximum harness slot height for rear-facing mode. Slot measurements are important because they ensure that the harness is properly adjusted for the child.
I wish they'd revise the manual to include this information.

It is me or this car seat looks like the Britax Marathon/Boulevard???

I was just reading another thread on here today with a bunch of other pics and there were a TON of them with it side by side next to a boulevard; couldn't believe how much they looked alike.

The more I see/hear about this seat the more I wish I would have gotten one for dd instead of the Pria....which is currently in transit so it could always go back  I was thinking the Peg had a shorter shell I guess.

I'd heard some stuff on the Peg about a 30-lb. LATCH limit??? That would maybe kill the deal for me. What does the manual have to say about that? I think there was some confusion in the wording?

Awesome pics!

So the 1 inch from the top for rf height, is it from the head piece that extends up, or the actual seat?
