I wish the Recaro Euro came in Riley.

Because I want a purple seat for DD. I have the Euro for DS2 and so far I love it. I want to get DD one too but I want the Riley cover. It's on the Proride but I'm unsure as to that seat. I know they are simliar but the no RF after 36 months in it really throws me. The Euro doesn't give an age limit, just height and weight. And the Euro is cheaper by $40 at the cheapest place I can find them.
Sigh. DH told me to get the purple one (he wants DD to have a girly seat, LOL).

I would e-mail Recaro and see how set in stone that age limit is. I plan on doing that as DD approaches 36 months. She is well within the RF limits as far as size, so I don't see how they can set an age.

LOL, I just did!! We'll see what they say.

Hey, could you measure the bottom and top harness positions and shell height for me? I would really appreciate it!! I understand that it's not too easy with the way the harness adjustment works so if you can't no big deal.

I just recieved this very prompt (!!!) reply from recaro cs.

There are no plans to add that color to the Euro at this time. The age restriction has been taken out of the ProRide manual. However the weight and height restrictions must be followed.

Here are the guidelines for use of the ProRide:

A childCANuse the ProRIDE in theRear-FacingpositionONLYif:

• The child’s weight is between5and 35

pounds (2.3 kgand 15.9 kg).

• The harnessCANbe positionedATor

BELOWthe child’s shoulders, when the

child is seated in the ProRIDE.

• The child’s seated height* isLESS

than22.5 inches(57cm).

• When sitting in the ProRIDE the top of

the child’s head isNOTcloser than 1

inch (2.5cm) from the top edge of the

ProRIDE seat back.

*NOTE: A child’s seated height measures the distance from the top

of their head to the bottom of their tailbone, when they are sitting.

A childCANuse the ProRIDE in theForward-FacingpositionONLYif:

• The child is at least 12 months of age.

• The child’s weight is between20and 70

pounds (9.1kgand 31.7 kg).

• The harnessCANbe positionedAT

orABOVEthe child’s shoulders,

when the child is seated in the

ProRIDE.

• The child’s standing height* isLESS

than50 inches (127cm).

• When sitting in the ProRIDE and

the head restraint is in the highest

position, the top of the child’s ears

must beBELOWthe top of the head

restraint.

• IfANYportion of the child’s head

exceeds the top edge of the

ProRIDE, there must be a vehicle

headrest support.

NOTE: A child’s standing height measures the distance from the top

of their head to the bottom of their feet, when they are standing.

Yea!! No more 36 month limit on the Proride!!!!

Awesome!

Sent from my iPod touch, sorry for any auto-correct typos!

That's what I thought!! I emailed again and asked if that was retroactive to Prorides with a 36 month limit in the manual.

This seat would be great for ERF if it had more legroom. But it's about the same as Britax for legroom and people ERF in those.
