I may just have to use it until she outgrows it RF, and set the Radian aside for a couple of months. *sigh*
I decided to use it today to get a little "practice" with it before we put it in a rental car this weekend. I took the Radian out and took her to the grocery store. When I got there, she was asleep. I let her sleep for a while, but I got bored and decided to try taking it out and popping it into the stroller to see if I could do it without waking her up.
Well, no luck. She woke up right away. So I decided to move her to a shopping cart and put the CCO back in the car.
She absolutely wouldn't have it. She screamed at me when I unbuckled her, and arched her back and refused to get into the shopping cart. So I stuck her back in the CCO and put the whole thing in the shopping cart instead.
At least I got some experience taking the CCO in and out of the car with a baby in it. I can say for sure I would NOT want to do this on a regular basis, like with an infant seat with a base - or even a baseless infant seat with a belt going over the child's lap. It's doable, but it's something I'd really need a pretty good reason to do.
I am using it outboard with LATCH. I think it would be even harder with the seat belt trying to get it in right without taking the baby out. I was very nervous that I'd get her out of the seat when I got home and find it wasn't tight after all, but I didn't need to worry; it was still quite solid after I got her out of the car when we got home.
I'll post pics in a minute.
