so I was wanting to her to get to 45lbs before I turned her but I figure since she is over 4 years and she is now 43lbs I figured there is nothing wrong with her being FF now.

I am thankful I was able to keep her RF for as long as possible, if NZ did not have high weight RFing carseats she would have been FF from 19 months.

now a question for those who turned their child FF how long after did you put them into a booster?

Your child has at least a year or 2 before she is ready for a booster. Children need to be mature enough to sit properly slouching, leaning, twisting, etc. they need to stay in position 100%of the ride, even on long trips and when asleep. For most children that maturity comes along somewhere between 5.5 to 6 years of age. For some it takes even longer.

My almost 4yo is super wiggly and has no impulse control. He will be harnessed for several years to come.

I turned my oldest around the same age. I have a minimum of 6 AND 40lbs before she can booster full time. She does know how to sit in a booster and has one for emergencies but full time wont happen until she is 6 and 40lbs.

I just turned J around last week and she is in a booster sometimes (with dad or grandma, or if one of the big girls is not with me) but her normal seat will be her new Maestro. She is almost 6 though.

I turned my ds at 4 and he spent a year harnessed after that and then we tried a hbb and he did great ..so we continued to use a booster. :)

My dd turns 4 next month and I plan on turning her. She's far from getting a booster though. Impulsive, hyper, and only 26lbs. Lol.
