When is the TF typically outgrown RF?

I've always wanted to try one. Not sure if it's a great choice for my 18 month old though. He's 27.5 pounds and 33 inches tall. How long do most kiddos make it RF in the TF?

Also, is the seat any wider than the MR? DS2 is probably going to need more room in that department sooner than later. He's got huge thighs. :p

The seat is super tall. I've never heard of a kid outgrowing rfing by height. It'll last until 35 pounds. Check your child's growth curve to estimate when he might hit that weight.

Nour and Zain are 3 years and 9 months, and Ethan is 3 years, 7 months. Nour would still fit in it by height and weight, and Zain would by height but maybe not weight. Just after turning 3, he was hovering close to 35 lbs., so his mom flipped him to FF and I put him in the FR85. Ethan would also still fit as he is around 34 lbs. and shorter than Zain, so I know he would definitely fit by height.

If it had a 40lbs rf limit my almost 5 yr old would still fit by height. she is about 36ishlbs though. She used it until right after her 4th birthday when she hit 34lbs. By hieght I would think a child would fit until maybe 6ish but the weight is what hangs them up.

My boy was getting close to the RF weight limit around his 2nd birthday, but still had TONS of growing room height-wise. He's mostly torso, but he was also a bit stocky at the time. We both loved his TF and would have stuck with it (or upgraded to the TFP when it came out) if my boy wasn't as heavy or if the RF weight limit had been higher.

My daughter is 4 and outgrew it RF by weight (with clothes) about a month ago. She is 41.5" tall, but only has a 13.5" seated shoulder height, so mostly legs. With my 2 kids's build, tall and slim but all leg, I don't forsee it being outgrown before it expires.

DD1 outgrew it by weight right around 3.5 I turned it when she was 34lbs on the scale cause I didn't want to weigh her every time we used that seat. (It is in DH's truck, so not that often.) If I would have let her go to the full 35 lbs, she consistently hit that 3-4 months later. She is sitting at about 50% on the growth scale for weight I think.

DD will be 4 in June. She's about 40" and 30.5 lbs. She still has quite a bit of room left height-wise. I expect her to take a while to gain those last 4 lbs.

My kid is still little and nowhere near outgrowing it. But I can actually sit comfortably in a true fit but I don't fit in a my ride. And FTR, I'm a size 4. So it's got lots of room for thighs ;)

DS has nearly the same stats and has oodles of room. DD4 (stats in my siggy) still fits RF by height, just is over the weight... I would bet that DD3 would also still fit RF by height.

I am trying to add pics, but the app keeps crashing on me when I do...

ETA:if (Or when I hit send it attaches it a gazillion times LOL)

DS2 will be 3 in May and is 30lbs and 39" tall and still has plenty of room to grow in his TFP. That's why I got it-- I knew he was going to be a lightweight, but tall!

My son outgrew it in weight at 25 months old but would have fit in height until at least 4 yrs old. He might even still fit but I don't have it anymore to try him out

Well, my DD is 3y9m and currently 32 pounds and she could still RF in it but is FFing in a FR85. She has plenty of room above her head still and she is 40 inches tall.

My dd is just over 4yo and is still RF'ing in hers :) She is about 38" tall and weighs 32 lbs. I am in love with my True Fits and honestly they would be the perfect seats if only they even had a 40-lb. RF weight limit (45 would be even nicer :D) The inside space is sooo nice and wide and my kiddo has more leg room in this seat than any other for RF. Yet, it installs very nicely more upright and even with the head rest on I don't feel like it takes up a ton of space front to back. Though it's a spacious seat it's never seemed like a bulky seat to me if that makes sense. My profile pic is current and that's her in the True Fit.

My son has one, he is almost 4 and has been ffing since 3 when he hit 33lbs. He is just now 35 lbs so doesn't fit by wt. but even with his 14" torso would definately still fit ht. wise. It is a GREAT ffing seat though too! he sleeps so nice and comfy in it and it just looks like he is being bear hugged with side impact protection when he rides in it! :)
he is on the second to highest harness slots about to move to the last and I will be so sad when he outgrows it and I no longer have a TF in my car :(
