Evenflo Embrace on Airplane?

Hi All,

I have an Evenflo Embrace from 2008. We are using it for our second child for a few months until we move him to a convertible rear facing. However, we are flying in a few weeks and want to use the Embrace in the seat we bought for our little guy (it snaps into our sit and stand, which we will be using A LOT). Of course, since it is from 2008, you have to use the base with the seat - it cannot be used with just the seat belt.

So, my question is, although it's going to be a giant pain to get the base onboard, etc, will the Evenflo Embrace from early 2008 even FIT in the airplane seat? The last thing I want to do is get there and have the seat not fit after we've bought our baby a seat!!! I am so frustrated, but at least it's a direct flight that only lasts 1.5 hours.

According to the data listed on this site (can't link to it using the mobile app, sorry) the Embrace is 17.5" wide. That's the same size as my Roundabout 40 and Snugride 22, both of which fit just fine on airplanes, even on small regional jets.

Width won't be an issue, but front to back space may be an issue. The handle has to be down and 1.5" away from the seat in front. That could be a problem depending on the pitch of the seats.
