Britax, 3 across

Will a Britax seat, RF give enough room for booster riders to buckle in a 3 across? M is short torsoed so I'm not worried about the shell height. Just not wanting to get yet another radian. I'm bored with my radians.

In what car? I can play car seat this weekend and find out. I have ProBoosters and Compass boosters to try out. Oh, and I can try it out in the Traverse or a Hyundai Sante Fe. Not going to bother trying the Cobalt cause I know it won't work in there! LOL

highlander or murano. most likely murano. dh isnt fond of the radian, but he loved the ma we had for c. Sorry 'bout the no caps. I had a "helper". I'm not particular on the actual booster since I haven't yet decided what to get for the boys in dh's car. C needs something with deep headwings and A *might* end up in a NBB when he outgrows the TB.

Well, I can tell you that I had a Britax DC FF in the center, with the Compass boosters outboard in the Sante Fe. You had to kind of slide the booster over to buckle and then slide it back in. Not something that a kid could do. Not sure if rf'ing would make it better or worse. Oh, I have all 3 of those seats just sitting here in the living room....BRB.

A has learned to "bounce" the booster into position for bucking in my car. He buckles, keeps the belt loose, bounces into place and then pulls the slack out of the belt. This is for the turbo so it's nice and light.

OK, I ran out to the Sante Fe and just basically sat the DC in there. I did buckle it in, though it's not completely installed. I took one Compass and one ProBooster with me. I could get the Compass in, but had to slide it out to buckle, then slide back. I could not fit the ProBooster in at all. The door wouldn't close. I moved the Compass to the other side to make sure I had the DC in the middle and was able to put it in and shut the door fine.

Here are the pics.

Thanks! I'm trying to talk dh into a field trip to BBB to try seats but he isn't so excited about that being a date. Of course, this is further complicated by the fact that M still has lots of room in her CCO but I don't want to get boosters that work with that but not something else, KWIM?

Thinking on it more, this would likely only work with the Britax RA55 if you went with the new style. The bars on the MA or BV would interfere with the armrests. It's one of the reasons I've always loved the DC...and why I will likely get the RA55.
