Regent in a Silverado?

Hi there!

A little background...
My son will be 4 at the end of October. He currently weighs about 39lbs, approx 40". Right now I have a MA in my car (99 Passat) and an Evenflo Chase in my husband's truck (06 Silverado, Ext Cab). I am looking at replacing the Chase with a Regent, but with the recent enhancements made by Britax, I am concerned it will not fit in the Silverado.

Does anyone have any experience installing the Regent in a Silverado using the SBP and recline bar? Are you able to get a rock solid install?

Any other suggestions as far as seats that would work in his truck?

yep. it works. sbp is better w/LATCH though. click on the pic in my siggy and it'll take you to pics of the Regent in our '07 extended cab silverado..

sorry for the gramer, i'm typing 1-handed...

Now, I can use LATCH in the truck until he reaches 48lbs right?
Also, do you happen to know what the LATCH limits are in a 07 Toyota Avalon? We have a MA in my parents car too.

Yes, up to 48 lbs. in the Chevy..

The Avalon just says to follow the car seat limits. So, i guess whatever the car seat you are using in it says to use... Which for Britax is 48 lbs...
