Question BJCM

How does the BJCM do on uneven sidewalks? I found a good price online for a 2011 black and fushia one, $149, which is less then the Cybex Onyx I wanted. I have been doing more and more walking and am finding out just how bad the.sidewalks around here are. I cant afford a BOB and havent found a single on Craigslist, just a few doubles.

This is just my opinion but if you can't afford a Bob, buying something with the name "baby jogger" at a good price isn't going to automatically be the next best thing. I think you'd be better off buying a lesser-named stroller with air filled tires, vs. a very well made but not all-terrain stroller. I feel like the Baby Trend etc all terrains are actually pretty decent and I think I would go that route for bumpy sidewalks. Even in the absence of shocks (which Baby Trend may or may not have, not sure) big air filled tires make for a smoother ride than smaller firmer tires. Just my 2 cents.

Baby Jogger makes some nice strollers but not all baby joggers are really joggers, if you know what I mean.

My SIL had a Baby Trend jogger, I dont know which one, but it folded up huge, and I just want something more compact. I have no intention of jogging or anything, but they built a new playground about 3/4 of a mile away that we walk to because they failed to put in parking and its a permit only area, great planning let me tell you. I have a Chicco Cortina, which other then its folded size I dont have an issue with, but its rough pushing it on the crappy sidewalks. The cracks and warped cement arent even and I wondered if a diferent style would work better. I am still watching CL and would love to.find a

The fold on the baby trend joggers is super annoying, but if it's a house and about the neighborhood sort of stroller, not in and out of the car stroller, it wouldn't bother me. I really think big air filled tires will go a long way towards tackling lousy sidewalks.

Im not sure if it would just be the around town stroller, I suggested getting 2 new ones and DH gave me "the look", I also am going to need 2 more Frontiers in probably the next few months as well and my daughter is 3 so I dont know how many more years I will use strollers. Im just torn.
