Question Cco and 2nd row middle 2011 ody

Cannot find an example thread right now, but I have seen at least a couple of times posts about the CCO not being compatible with the middle seat in the 2nd row of the new ody, it just hasn't been at a time I could respond! Can anyone tell me why? We have ours installed there and it works great...so now I am wondering why folks have said it doesn't? Am I missing something??? Just curious!

I started one of those threads. I tried every method of installation and it still moved side to side a number of inches. I spent 1/2 hour on the phone with Vera Fullaway trying her suggestions and she finally admitted to me that that's one seating position that doesn't seem to work. She told me to try shelf liner, which also didn't do anything. I gave up and sold the seat unused. I'm curious how you were able to get yours in. For the record, mine was one of the old ones.

Perhaps dumb luck?! Mine is a very good install, that took very little time, I think I got it on first try. DO have it tethered rear facing, which helps to maintain the recline since the CCO seems to have trouble with that...so maybe that is part of the reason?

Do you have the new one with the grippy stuff on the base? I wonder if that's the difference.

RF tethering did not reduce the side to side movement at all for me. Vera said it would but it didn't.
