Looking ahead to when the new baby arrives, we went ahead and bought DS a Radian RXT so that we can pass his MR to little sib. (Cause, you know, with only 7 months to go we *had* to buy the new seat now.)
DS was adorable when the seat arrived this afternoon; he said to the Fed Ex guy, "Thank you so much for bringing my new red carseat!" Anyway...
I was a little worried about the install in DH's car. (It's an '06 Corolla.) With as as finicky as the RN is, plus the fact that my 5'10" DH *has* to have his seat nearly all the way back, I wasn't 100% sure I could make it work, at least not without lots of effort. However, it went in perfectly! I put it in the center seat, and it was a crazy easy seat belt install. (I did twist the buckle stalk down a full 3x.) Super solid AND nice and upright without the angle adjustor. ::squee!:: I sometimes stink at eyeballing angles, but I'd say it's easily in the ballpark of 35*. Can't wait for DS to try it out tomorrow, and I have a newfound love for that little Corolla! (As opposed to my 2nd gen CR-V. It and I are not on speaking terms right now.)
