No 1" rule for easy fit 65?

I got the easy fit 65 for the baby sitters car for Joey. I was looking in the manual and it says not to use rfing if the top of the child's head is above the top of the headrest. So no 1" rule? Is that the only seat with that rule?

Interesting. Could you post the product number and date of manufacture so we can read the manual from the Safety 1st website?

From what I've seen, Dorel ditched the 1" rule way back with the release of the OnSide Air.

on my Kindle Fire using the app...I make much more sense IRL...

Yep, most Dorel seats have done away with the 1" rule and just have the overall height listed.

There was no 1 inch rule for my avenue that I bought in 2008. I asked and the dorel cpst told me a child could use the seat rfing until 36 inches or the head even with the top of the seat.

I was playing w/ it at Sears today w/ ds who is 40" tall. He fits w/in the headrest guidelines but it doesn't appear to be reinforced at all and he's even w/ the shell. I really would not be comfortable using this to the top of the headrest. IIRC The CA65 also allows use to the top of the headrest or 40" overall height.

I think that's the same seat as what we're calling the Guide 65 up in the great white north. It too has the same rules for top of the head rest (not the shell, the headrest). But we have a 36" RF total height limit. Which is really unfortunate, because other than that, it's by far the most budget-friendly seat we have (that also may work in many 3-across situations) that will get a kid to booster age.

I've asked here before about the CCO because I didn't see a head-related height limit in the manual, but I was told that if you ask Combi they will stand by the usual 1" rule.
