Question Toys R Us Price question

****UPDATE****

We went in today and we had no issues getting it for 223$ plus the 25% off...we turned in her 40$ Cosco seat that still had 3 years left on it lol. So out the door 178.07!!! I think that was a pretty good deal for this seat. She loves it, wishes it was pink with flowers like her Marathon (and the Cosco) , but she says it's comfy and she loves that it has cupholders!! That I think sold the seat!

Okay, here we go...I ordered a FR85 Last week from our local Toys R Us, they had to ship it from another instate store as ours does not carry Britax. (small store) Well, the online price at the time was 223$ (not including my 25% trade-in) I just looked and it was 269$ for the same darn seat yesterday. My question is if I ordered it (not paid, they wont take money until seat is here and I have my trade-in) Will they honor the price in which I requested the seat?? I hope they do, because if they don't Im not buying it. (after all that rigormaroll)

My local TRU won't price match the TRU website at all. I've been told that the website is a totally separate entity from the brick and mortar stores.

I don't know what your local store will do. I hope you get it for a good price.

Did they give you a copy of the order with the price on it? If they did I would expect them to honor the price at the time of order. If they didn't give you anything with the current price printed I would ask the manager very nicely to lower it, or at least split the difference.

Was it $223 after the Trade-In event started? Or did you order it before? It's been my opinion that BRU always raises prices during the Trade-In.

I went in the day the trade-in started. It was 223$ before the 25% so it would have brought it down to 179ish. A decent price I think. Being up here in "the sticks" so to speak we have a limited selection. They did not give me an invoice, but she did have paperwork and I believe she wrote it down. I wish I had asked for a copy. Live and learn. If they dont go for it, I will do some dickering. Wish me luck. Seat comes in tomorrow or the next day.

I will Thank You, This hopefully will be our last seat! At least that is the plan. I have spent a lot of time searching and this has been coming out on top numerous times. So hopefully we get if for a decent price and second I pray it fits!!

What car are you putting it in? If you are worried it won't fit, you could do a search here and often times there is someone with the same car/seat who posted pictures/install tips!

Well, if the trade-in had already started I really think they should give it to you for the price available at the time you ordered it. I find it weird that they didn't have you pay for it at that time. I would certainly speak to a manager about it if they try to charge something different.
