Sienna AWD

How realistic is it to expect to fit 5 kids, (9) not in a booster, but would like her to be (7) in a HBTB (5) HBTB (4) Almost outgrown Grace Nautilus, 53 pounds and rapidly closing in on the top slots, will be moved to PWSG, and (1) MA65 FF, but would like to switch her RF into a 7 seater Sienna. AWD is much preferred as we live in a snowy area. There are currently in a 2008 Chevy Express 8 seater. Is the Sienna doable to you think? Thanks

The 2004-2010 8-seater Sienna is VERY car seat friendly. That 8th seat is just a smidge less wide than the regular captains chairs and the back 3rd row bench is pretty wide too.

I see no reason why you couldn't fit 5 children in restraints in it.... in fact i am pretty sure there is a member here who has six children in various restraints in an 8-seater Sienna. :D

I am not sure though which years on the Sienna AWD was available in the 8-seat option.... I know it wasn't in 2004/2005 because AWD was only on the limited model and those were only made as 7 seaters.

Good luck finding a van! :)

Yeah, it's too bad that awd=7 seater, but the ability to move the captains chair over makes a huge difference in terms of being able to get into the back. I have my doubts about the back bench with 3 boosters, or even 2 boosters and a kid without one. I guess we shall see. :)

I've had a 2006 AWD Sienna, a Suburban with captain's chairs and now a Expedition EL with a 2nd row bench. As far as access goes to the 3rd row, the Sienna was the best hands down. Being able to slide that captain's chair over was awesome. The AWD Sienna did amazing in the snow, one winter I had it was the most snow we had seen in years, feet and feet and feet of snow. I drove 400 miles each way over several mountain passes 6 times that winter and never once had a problem. I miss that Sienna!
