So, how do you buckle a Regeny w/1 hand?

Excuse any typos please, i fractured my right elbow y'day in the grocery store parking lot... So, any idea on how to buckle a Regeny w/1 hand? C isnt strong enough to do it himself...

Can he line up the buckles for you? So you can put you hand around it and pop it closed? Sorry about your elbow, been there, wasn't fun.

Is the regent harness adjuster the ratcheting kind like the marathon? I'm thinking it is.

What I did when I had one hand out of commission, was lift up on the harness adjuster lever, grab the harness with my teeth and pull to loosen it really well. Then overlay the buckle tongues over the buckle. my 4 fingers would push down on both buckle tongues while my thumb and bottom of my hand squeezed up...like i was making a fist. Then use your good hand to retighten the harness.

Can he help you with it? Putting his arms in the straps, doing the chest clip and "trying to put the buckles in? I know my ds is always wanting to do it on his own but I do have to push the buckles the rest of the way in and then of course tighten the seat and make sure the chest clip is in the right spot.

Let us know when you figure it out what works for you.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that you fractured your elbow! OUCH!

I agree with the others. Ask Cias to help line up the buckles. That should help you get them in the buckle tongue. :)
