RVs?

My parents are most probably coming to visit and they have been toying with the idea of renting an RV. Well, as far as I remember you can not install a car seat in an RV. Is that right? Can you use a booster?

If the answer to those two questions is no, the RV is most probably out, because they are not driving our girls without proper restraints.

It depends. You can install on a forward-facing seat with a seatbelt. Sometimes chairs or dinette tables have seatbelts, and the front passenger seat will.

Sometimes the belts are bolted to the frame; sometimes they're bolted to plywood.

If there aren't enough proper seatbelts for everyone in the RV (there rarely are), then you have unrestrained passengers who become projectiles, not to mention everything else IN the RV that could become a projectile upon impact.

Oh, and a booster would be usable only with a lap-shoulder belt. Typically just the two front seats have those.

Most RV rental places also have the option to rent a truck and trailer. Maybe suggest they do that instead of a motorhome. It's also nice to have a separate vehicle so you can unhitch and tour around, run errands, etc versus a motorhome. It's why you see ppl dragging little commuter cars behind motorhomes. Nice to have a separate ride.
