Puzzle in an Audi Q5

I think my sister has settled on purchasing a 2012 Audi Q5. She will regularly be transporting her 10yr old son, still in a booster, her 3.5yr old grandson (ff), and 10mo. old grandson.

The seats that she has available are FP Safe Voyage booster--backless, Blvd (65), Graco Comfortsport (new style with the very narrow front piece), and Graco Snugride 35. I'm assuming her best chance at puzzling is booster (driver side)/FF Blvd (center)/RF Comfortsport (passenger side).

Has anyone had experience with this vehicle? I'm not sure how long they will need this set-up as the 10yr old will probably fit without the booster in the next 1-3 years and the 3yr old will start school fall of 2014.

Thanks for any ideas!

Would a Maestro without the cupholders be a good fit in place of the Blvd? The Blvd is actually her daughter's seat and she'd probably rather not have to buy a new seat right now.

I worked in a 2010 the other day. I think she's going to need something narrow in the middle position. I'd guess she will need a Radian. Then the backless FP booster, and either the RF ComfortSport or RF Boulevard.

I installed a FF Boulevard and FF 3/1 seat and there wasn't much space left in the middle.

Hope that helps,

My nanny family has a 5 and has a FF FR85 and FF MA both outboard and it leaves VERY little room in the middle. They've also had a MA FF and MA RF with very little room in the middle.

I really think you would need a Radian for a 3 across.

Thanks Angie. I was hoping she could avoid the Radian since she'll have to do a seatbelt install. I do have one that has about 2 years of life left which would probably get her to a place where she wouldn't need 3-across.

Another scenario: outboard FP backless, middle RF Comfortsport, outboard Safeguard Go--any way on earth this would work? I'm seriously considering contacting the Audi dealer and asking if I can try this!
