So, I bought a Complete Air yesterday... pics!

I had to check the clearance at Target yesterday... and found a 6/2011 Complete Air for $65, for that price I really couldn't leave it there.

It installed RF in my 98 Honda CRV like it was MADE to go there. Seriously, one of the easiest seats I've ever put in my car.

It's, uh, a little upright lol but I'm good with that. It's actually at the exact same angle as my Radian with the angle adjuster:

With Sam, who was not interested in my picture taking:

He's 39" but look at the amount of room above his head! Is the 40" rule gone with the newer seats with the dual level line? With how tiny his torso is I'm definitely ok ignoring it for a few more inches if I decide to use it regularly, but I was just curious.

I'm definitely pleasantly surprised by it! The only thing that concerns me is that he was already grabbing at the headwings - I'm worried he'll pull on them too much and break them off. And the annoying twisty Dorel harness, in just buckling and unbuckling him a few times I managed to twist it.

Wow, what a good buy! Thats good that you had an easy time installing it, it was never easy for me...always ended up with scrapes on my knuckes  I'm pretty sure they stuck with the 40" rule. I loved the CA for ff though, it was great

I haven't heard any change in the 40' rule.

I also liked the CA for FF and agree that it is a very easy install.

I think it was actually easier to install RF than FF! I keep having this mystery slack when I install it FF that's annoying me! I have pretty long buckle stalks though, I think if I twist it down another time it'll be fine. I think I'm going to keep it in my car for a backup - that's what I do with my Scenera right now so I don't have to move my Radian when we ride with other people - which is pretty frequently.

Installed more upright ours installs like a dream too. Since the harness is too high for young babies anyway, I think it would have been a more popular seat if they officially approved the upright install and gave a max torso height instead of 40". I don't want something unsafe approved but those don't seem impossible to overcome since lots of others do. It's a complete pain at 45 degrees, but awesome more upright for toddlers.

So not to hijack but I just bought one today and I was wondering if you have to use the pad at the hips? I couldn't find the info in the manual. :(

Do you by any chance have the item #? I have been to/called. 3 of my local. Stores and they all say they're out but by the confused voices on the other line I'm not sure if they even know what I'm asking for....I really need this seat! Pleas & thank-you.

Thank you! I called the fourth store gave her the description and # and she was out too and said all the local stores were out too :( on bummed, I'm due in 7 weeks and I really wanted to put a backup seat in NY mothers car now while I can still do the install and know its. Correct in case she needs yo come grab my daughter when I go into labor! I will now have to decide whether an Apt/Scenera is what I want to do or if I want to wait another 3-4 weeks and see if there are any other Hood deals! BTW your son looks adorable in his new seat, hope you enjoy it :) and thanks again.

Bummer, sorry you couldn't find one!! The MyRide is on sale this week at Target for $110 - more than this deal but still a good price if nothing else you could get one and leave it in the box and return it if you find something better.
