5 point harnes and LATCH anchors, but not what you think.

Huh.

Alright, I found this today:
http://jpmcoachworks.com/blog/index...-wrx-sti-by-rallysport-direct-jpm-coachworks/
and if you scroll through it you will see the driver and passenger harness coming and attaching to what looks to be the LATCH anchors for a child safety seat.

Am I seeing that correctly? And if that is the case is it safe? Aren't Subaru's only good to 60# on the LATCH? Last, if you other half were to do such a thing would you still trust those LATCH anchors for child seat?

It's about time for DH to get a car he actually likes. We are actually leaning towards the WRX-STi because it is sensible and still a lot of fun for him to drive. But he wants to get back in SCCA so I need to know if this is a no-no.

That's really interesting. The driver is probably 170-200+ pounds and is depending on the lower anchors to basically save his life. Hm.

If you go to the Takata website their installation instructions show it being bolted to the seatbelt mechanism in the rear seats and ending up looking like its installed with latch but its not.

That car is NICE :)
