Hi, does anyone have any pointers on shipping a car seat (keyfit) ? I do not have the box. Is it safe to box up a seat and send it in the mail? Thanks!!

I think most of us ship seats USPS. Try to find a box that's just big enough to hold the seat and use some kind of padding. If your box is too large you may get charged oversize fees. I would insure the package too; it's just a few dollars and I think it's worth it!

I was able to fit my infant seat and base in a dish pack moving box almost perfectly. You don't want it to have much wiggle room. If I would have shipped it, I was going to stuff a bunch of paper grocery bags in just for good measure.
