My MIL posted about this on my Facebook wall (which I think is newsworthy in and of itself :rolleyes:)

The family was unharmed (which I can't fathom). This article doesn't mention it (just "properly used car seat") but my MIL heard in the news that is was a properly used REAR FACING car seat (which I hope to goodness so, as the baby was 10 months old, but still, kind of cool that they highlighted that to the point that my MIL caught it)

This one mentions the RFing car seat, but also that the baby was 10 weeks (so now I'm confused :confused:)

I saw this on the news the other morning. I heard 10 MONTHS old as well, but can't remember if they said rf or not. Either way it's amazing! I can't imagine how scary it must have been!

I watched the video in the 1st link. THey said both 10 months and 10 weeks at different times.

I admit I totally teared up watching the video (especially about evacuating the little girl, who was holding her teddy bear :crying:)
