Fun install

Fr85. Mustang back seat. Broke 2 nails and banged my head 2 times.

This was not a install by choice. My battery died and my dad needed to pick me up in the GT.

I don't envy you. I've only installed FF Roundabouts in our mustang and banging head isn't an issue since it's a convertible. What year is it and was there any room for another seat?

2009. Two buckets in the back. I was hoping I could get my mom she has an edge. But of course not.

By the way is the latch limit in it 40 or 48? Something crossed my mind as I tried LBP only to find it did not reach.

Used YouTube to do sbp and tethered it.

Mustang GT, vroom vroom. :) All Ford models have a 48 lb. weight limit for using the lower LATCH anchors (and allow top tether usage up to the carseat's maximum capacity when installed with the vehicle seatbelt ).

You're welcome. Cold and rainy here, too, and going to snow later, ugh. Hoping to sit in a Mustang or two among other cars this weekend at the auto show if we don't get snowed in here. :)

That sounds like more fun.
I knew the edge has a 48 lb but I was not sure it was all fords.

Just so you know I made a new rule.

If you have a battery die and have to install a fr85 in a mustang and break a nail.

You get to put bacon in your salad.
So let it be written..,.

If I had to put a fr85 in the backseat of a Mustang, I'd eat ice cream for lunch. Forget the salad.

Lol I'm trying so hard to be good. We went to McDs to get E lunch and I had nothing but a diet coke.

Now I need to get geared up to walk to me sons school to pick him up and it is nasty outside.
So want this day over.

It sounds like the back seats may have grown a little.

Bacon and ice cream are good things and should be eaten regularly.

It took all I had to push it back into the seat and it still was off the front a little. I just had no choice. But it was good and solid.

I agree about bacon.

More fun this morning as it was sleeting when I went out to reinstall his seat in my van.

In pure desperation I threw him on the scale and he was 47 lbs. so I installed with LATCH just to get ds1 to school.

I will reinstall with LBP as soon as the mess outside goes somewhere else.

What a fun few days.
