that doesn't stop me from wanting to rf the 3 yr 11 month old I'm transporting. She's about 45 lbs and tall so its not happening but I still wish I could.

i hear you. my kids are off-the-chart teeny... but at least i can RF them for a looong time. i think they can make it to age 12 RFing in a swedish seat, but i probably won't do that. (probably not, hmm...)

I know what you mean. DD5 is 4.5 and I keep tossing around the idea of selling her MA70 and buying a radian with a 45 lb RFing limit so I can turn her back RFing. Which I know is crazy...she's 4.5 and perfectly safe FFing, but still. So yeah, I get it :)

If it's any consolation, I'm with you. When J hit 45lbs at 3y11m, I momentarily toyed with the idea of importing. Common sense won out, but... yeah. Very very safe is not "safest possible." I just had to tell myself I had done the best possible and rest in the knowledge that 4 is better than 99.5% of kids out there, anywhere.

(Says the girl who has a RFing 4y10m child in her vehicle, with no plans to turn until the child insists...)

Thanks everyone. I just need to know that if anything ever happens I kept her as safe as I could. It does make me happy to see her harnessed in my backseat. If I hadn't found this website she'd probably be in a booster. So I try to focus on that.

Ilana asked at 3yr 10mos to go ffing and I let her even though she still fit rfing. I'm toing w/ letting Olivia go ffing this Spring since she'll probably have too later this summer. It would make my car life happier sometimes to seperate certain ones, lol.
