Red face Is An Infant Insert Required for Infant Car Seats

I recently purchased a stroller/car seat travel system and the car seat did not come with an infant insert. So my question is, is this a requirement? I will be using this with my newborn son due in Feb. I've tried to find one to purchase, but I'm finding it is very difficult.

Nope. The safest thing to do is to use rolled receiving blankets or towels along side the baby.

Nope! In fact, if it didn't come in the box with the seat, it's not recommended! Some seats come with infant inserts, and its fine to use them if they did. If yours did not, then one is not needed or recommended.

Out of curiosity, what kind of seat did you get?
