2011 Dodge Ram 1500 - where is the tether anchor?

I've read the manual a bunch of times and stuck my hand all over the back seat but I cannot for the life of me find the anchor point for the tether for a FF seat.

Trying to install a graco nautilus in a dodge ram 1500 2011 with the big quad cab, whatever it's called... behind the driver (car seat will not fit on the middle seat as it's shorter).

According to the car seat manual, I'm supposed to thread the tether strap through the headrest directly behind the seat, then attach it to an anchor point behind the middle seat. Can't find it!!

This is what the LATCH manual says:

Thread the tether strap through the loop located directly behind the vehicle seat where the CR is located. Attach the tether hook to the metal ring on the tether loop located behind the center seating position.

The only thing in the middle seating position is a fabric loop. I've put my hand behind the seat many times but still can't find any metal part. I think the manual is missing some info relevant to this specific model.... surely I'm not supposed to attach the tether to the fabric loop in the middle? What about installing two forward facing seats, they're both supposed to attach to the same point??

In most cases, that fabric loop IS the tether anchor :)

ETA: If you're doing two seats, you attach them to adjacent loops, if that makes sense? So the seat in the center get attached to the loop on the outboard position, and the seat in the outboard position gets attached to the loop in the centre (or whatever combination that the manual lists as the proper way to do it) :)

Two outboard seats can be attached to the center anchor.

Also, Dodge just released an update about this topic, as their manuals don't properly address the tether situation in every model. I'll try to find that, but yes, I believe you loop through the one directly behind the seat, then attach to an adjacent loop.

Ok, yes, I found the updated information. In 2009 they switched from fabric and metal loops to just fabric loops. They failed to change the manual, though. So yes, you're fine. And you are allowed to attach two hooks to the center loop.

This info was included in the most recent CPS Express newsletter for techs, and supposedly the info is available on Dodge's website.
