I had planned on buying one, but then after seeing the after Christmas posts on here about apps costing $25, I probably won't. I'm kind of bummed actually because I thought it would be great to have at our house for when the kids are over.

The games run around $24.99 but the apps are about $7 - $10. No better deal had some for around $50 a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure they'll get more.

The $20 app cards are about $15 on Amazon, and the apps themselves are anywhere from $5-$25, most are in the $7.50-$10 range. For awhile toys r us had $25 app cards with a bonus $25 card inside (so, $50 for $25). I bought 3 of those and split it with a friend and dd has all the apps she needs for quite some time.

Hmm. I might have to reconsider then. I have a $50 credit on Amazon after trading back my school textbooks to them for gift cards!

I have a feeling that I will need two since the kids all come in pairs to my house and I just see fights ensuing if we only had one of these!

LOL! Yes...they will want their own.

What I did was get my oldest the leappad and then I ordered a Leapster Explorer (which uses the same games as the leappad) for my youngest from Nobetterdeal --$38. http://www.nobetterdeal.com/StoreCa...#0##16&hits=30&sortby=+price++title&offset=30
