My local TECHS organization and State Farm did that a year or so ago, in a shopping center, on a weekend day. It was madness. Everyone loves free stuff, and EVERYONE was crazy swarming around to get one - moms with babies, newborns, PREGNANT moms - no, you don't need a booster, sorry. Nuts. Never again - it totally wasn't worth it.

It SEEMS like a good idea. The article says 30lbs is okay for a booster though and we all know that's a bad idea (and not even legal in a lot of places). Also if they are giving out no back boosters are they making sure the kids have high back seats/head rests? Probably not.

So A for effort but F for execution.

Ditto.

I'd prefer they used the Prorider backless -- I think that was the name -- given away for free by Ford & such.... It does not expire so long as it's stored in a temp. controlled environment.

Children weighing between 30 pounds and 80 pounds should always be placed in a booster seat>>.

UUUUUUGH! And to think If they had just bought a different booster it would have a starting weight of 40...

oh well, you have to start somehwere, and arizona has a REALLY bad law, so it's good to raise awareness, I guess....

There are a lot of people here that really dont know any better. I am just hoping that they are being educated when they get the seat.
