TrendZ Eurosport - that was short-lived

I was just browsing Target's web site and noticed that the Trendz Eurosport is listed as going away in stores, still available online. Perhaps they are making room for the new Trendz model, the Fastback?

One has been sitting in a box on the shelf here. They never put it on display or put out price tags. It's been there for months!

I bet the first price I see on that seat will be a clearance sticker....

I was just thinking about this seat the other day. I saw it at Target but no one ever talks about it anymore. Was the general consensus not good? I completely forget what people thought about it.

Yep.... our target clearanced them out mid-december..... my bet is that they just didnt sell well or they are going with the upgraded model when its released.....

In general though isn't Jan and July the normal times for Target to "clean house" so to speak and clearance out tons of stuff?

The top slots are incredibly short, like 15 inches or so? Very short. It doesn't go very high as a booster, either. Difficult to install, too.

It has some really neat features, which I hope they will take and put on other seats. The chest clip is sewn on so it will always be at the right height. There are tension indicators on the harness so you know when the harness is tight enough. The crotch buckle pad makes accessing the release button a bit tough, and the button itself is alarmed so great if you have a Houdini. It's narrower than the Maestro, so it would be good for three across if you had a kid short enough. And it is a lightweight harness/high back/backless combination, and it can be carried as a high back booster without it falling apart.

I noticed mine was already marking tons of baby items down to 30% yesterday and there were no boosters left, not a one. I didn't see any convertibles or other seats marked down yet though.

I can't picture how a sewn on chest clip would always be at the right height. I'm a visual learner.:)

I tried squishing my daughter in this seat at Target, and I was not able to buckle the chestclip . Maybe it's her physique, but once the straps were tight the chestclip was right under her chin. I think the concept is great but maybe they could sew a line on the top and on the bottom so you can adjust it slightly but will never be able to have a belly clip..

Are you familiar with the Chase? The harness is anchored at one shoulder and then the chest clip is a certain distance from the shell at the shoulder. No belly clip possible. The harness adjusts in front of the child, over the lower chest or belly area, instead of at the shoulder like most seats.
