bigger kids in the meastro?

I am looking at a meastro for a bigger than average 3 (almost 4) yr old. I would love to see kids in the seat....or at least hear how big/old they were when they outgrew the harness.

My almost 6yo still fits in ours. He is now on the top harness slot w/ maybe an inch to grow. He's not even 40# yet, but is a small/thin boy. He still wears 4-5T pants and 6 shirts, so short legs and long torso. He's the oldest in his Kindergarten class and still one of the shortest/smallest if that helps you picture his size better! LOL

I don't have any pictures of him in it b/c it's our d/c seat...

It is a great spare seat, we've never had a problem.

My daughter turned four in October- at last check she was 47ish" tall and 46 pounds. She has about 1/2 a hair before she will be even with the top slots.
I think her torso is about 16.5 if I am remembering correctly.
I am so bummed she is just about out of it as it was our travel seat. I still haven't come up with our next plan of action for a travel seat for her.

ouch, you aren't supposed to tell me that. I am looking at a seat for a 4yo...mom says he is 42lbs but not sure how tall, just knows he is 90-95% for both height and weight. Is you DD over 100% for height? I am buying this seat for her plus another for her younger son (who is also big and trying to keep him rfing) so I can't afford more than this. It's either this or he is put in a booster though at almost 4.

I wish I knew his torso height. I am doing this as a surprise and don't want to ask super specific questions like that or she will know lol. Oh, and they are across the country so I can't measure him either.

Re: bigger kids in the maestro?

Ha!- Ouch is right! It kills me that my baby is this big! Yes, she was finally "on the charts" for the first time in a long time- 97% for height at her four year check up.

Oh- isn't evenflo supposed to be coming out with a "bigger" version of the Maestro? Can't remember exactly what the scoop is- someone else here will chime in, I'm sure!

yeah they are. From what I understand it will be 2 different versions....1 may harness higher than the next I think??? And then the headrest will extend so it will actually work as a booster after the harness is outgrown (since right now the booster mode is pretty much outgrown by height at the same time as the harness) I know that there are different guess prices. I would love to know the full details! And I thought they were supposed to come out by the end of the yr, which is like NOW

ETA: found the info...they will be out of my price range though.

Cousin will be 4 in March and is on the second to top slots. He's very average height/weight.

My DS2 rides in one in DH's car and MIL's car.

He will be 6 in February. He's on the top slots with about an inch or so to go.

He's 44" and 43lbs.

My son 4.5(42", 42 lbs) and nephew 5.5 (approx 46", 45 lbs), both 60% height for their age, fit the Maestro on the second to top slots. My son's torso is probably 16", my nephew's is longer. I've noticed the Maestro loses height on flat vs chiseled seats. In my center seat (flat) my nephew would be on the top slots but would definitely fit fine in the seat. It has great interior room for both boys.

KAtie is too big for it. She is 7 yo, 55 pounds, and too tall to use it even as a booster, and obviously over the harness weight. She is not a big kid, actually just under 50% for a 7 yo, ad the seat is a complete no go.
