Classic Britax RF Seat Belt Routing

I feel like this is a dumb question, but I had a weird problem at a check today. When installing a Classic Britax RF with a seat belt, the manuals say "the vehicle belt must rest behind the child seat buckle strap." Does behind mean that the seat belt should be closest to the front of the vehicle with the crotch buckle closest to the rear of the vehicle, or the opposite?
