With DS being over 4 1/2 yrs old and all of this talk about FAA and airlines, I'm wondering how long you guys are going to put your child in a child restraint on a plane?

I voted as long as there is one that will fit them because we need seats wherever we go. It's much easier to have them in a harnessed seat on the plane and then use that seat in the vehicle than to find room to put a booster in carry-on. I will *never* check a carseat, booster included.
Am just trying to decide this now - we will be flying to florida in August, and DS will be 5 and 50lbs. I am trying to decide if it is better to take the Radian, or just a hbb...we will be shuttled directly from the airport to Disney, where we will stay for the week, so I know there will be very little travel time, hence the booster being easier to put on the shuttle bus or whatever, and an adult will always be with ds so he will be sitting safely, but I would LOVE the radian for the flight - anyone btdt?
