Obviously, this is a swedish seat and not US approved, but boy is it cool! Here's a video of it http://www.carseat.se/store.html . It's by a company called Axkid. I love how the headrest adjusts with the harness.

Why oh why can we not have these seats? I know why but still WHY. That is like car seat heaven.

auto-correct on the loose..

Seats outside the US have a foot prop. Our test bench doesn't have a floor. So until it has one, really can't even begin to test.

I was looking at the erf gallery and there is a lot of winter coats and harnesses above the shoulder. So even with awesome seats there is blatant misuse.

Harness heights are taller and weight limits are higher for certain models. AD would know about all of them for sure since that's his store. I know for the TWE harness must be at or above shoulders (but below ears). I just had to look it up to adjust DD's. As for winter coats, I seriously doubt fleece will cut it in Scandinavia. I'm in Italy where temps are mild but I leave DD's harness tightened to her "just clothes" setting so there's no risk of additional compression in a crash.

Over there numerous seats have a rule of the harness above the shoulders rearfacing.

I agree with the winter coats. You can take them off and put them on backwards or whatever, but the harness is a different issue. On Swedish seats the harness is supposed to be at or above the shoulders. I had forgotten this the first time I took DD2 to Sweden and almost had a fit. The seat I have there is good to use from a very early age, but there was no way she would be above the lowest setting for another year or so... So I re-read the instructions and realized that her seat did fit her.
