Yay Geico adjuster!

I was in a minor crash today. (I'm fine; car is not fine but is driveable and repairable; child and booster were not with me because I had the backseat folded down to take recycling to the center.)

The adjuster made sure to ask me if I had child seats and said that they would be added to the claim because they needed to be replaced even after a minor crash.

I'm sorry about your crash. That is awesome that the adjuster asked about seats though! My friend borrowed a literider from me last month and got into a kind of minor accident (she was hit on her rear quarter panel but the car was drivable.) Her insurance (Progressive) refused to cover my seat and her Scenera. I told her not to worry about my seat (I didn't need it and let ds1 beat the heck out of it and trashed it) and just fight for her seat since her daughter was in the Scenera at the time of the accident but mine was just sitting on the floor. She didn't get anywhere with her insurance and is borrowing my Scenera until she gets paid and then buying a GN (her daughter is 3 and about to outgrow the Scenera.) She is also shopping for new insurance and I will mention Geico.

Well, I'm generally happy with Geico, but I think there are good (CPS-conscious) and bad adjusters at all companies. I think asking when the policy is issued is the best way to go and getting it in writing that seats will be covered.
