Washing a TFP cover

Can you throw it in the washer, or does it have to be done by hand? There's some pretty gnarly stains from juice and milk. I don't have my manual on hand.

The manual says hand wash only. But I have made the parental decision to was on the gentle cycle. The only damage it's done is the the air bag warning label fades more and comes off faster (stitching rips out after a coupe washings). I always air dry all my covers.

Same here, and same thing with the label. The cover washes really well, though (cranberry).

Mine has a seam that has let go a little bit. Not the fabric itself, but the stitching of the seam has let go. Anyone else have a seam like that, and washed it in the washer?

I have never washed it in the washer. Mine cleans up nicely with a bit of warm water, dish soap and a rag. Just get the rag wet and wipe down. Makes it easy because then I dont have to uninstall it.

I scrubbed the heck out of the stains and when the seat dried they came right back. It's okay though because I had already taken it out to install our new XTSL, so I figured I'd clean the old one anyway!

I've hand washed mine in the tub and thrown it in the spin cycle to wring it out then hung it up in the shower. It has always washed up quite well.
