My mom is doing day care for a lot of the neihborhood kids this summer. I volunteered to help take them all to the park a couple days a week. (because I'm a total CS nerd and I thought it would be fun to figure out the CS puzzle)
Thought I would share the fun and invite all you other car seat addicts to play too.

Here's what we have to deal with, keep in mind the goal is best practice whenever possible.

Kids:
3 month old, 10ish lbs
2 yr old, 25 lbs
4 yr old, 28 lbs
5 yr old, 55 lbs
5 yr old, 64 lbs
7 yr old, 38-51 lbs
7 yr old, 60ish lbs
7 yr old, 60ish lbs
9 yr old, 88 lbs
15 yr old, 120ish lbs

Seats:
2 MA's
Intera
laptop
Turbo Booster
Body Guard
Cosco no back
Radian
Husky
Snug ride
Confidence

Cars:
90 GMC Surburban
l/s, l, l/s (narrow seat, have done protek, MA, TB in this position just barely)
l/s, l, l/s (l/s drivers side has a lazy shoulder belt retractor)
Other considerations, no tethers, we use 3rd row. good locations for rfing tethers in any position. low seat backs, shoulder blade high on 11yr old.

F350
l/s, l, l/s
l/s, l (this is front row)
Tethers in all rear seat positions, airbag on off switch

Ok go for it!!!

I have (this is the first time I have ever done one of these so I might be all wrong!)

Suburban
9 y/o in cosco no back or nothing depending on size/2yearold MA RF/7yoTB
7 y/o BG/4yoRFMA/7Confidence

Pickup
Driver/noone/15yo
3moSR/5yoRadian/5yo Husky

I figured on the 64lb 5yo in the Husky, with the smaller one in the Radian. I'm assuming that the heavier one is also taller?

Body GUARD, LMAO. First Britax booster with SIP, Like the Parkway, but a bit heavier and with lockoffs for the lap portion of the belt.

OOPS, the nine year old should actually be 11. That one is my oldest child. I guess I was just having an anti-aging moment.

LMAO. Ok I so need to get some sleep. I really did think it said body glove.

Well, Body Glove is a brand of wet suit. very tight fitting, I'm sure if we could figure out a way to integrate such a thing into a car seat it would attually work really well at spreading out crash forces.

Oooh, it's all clicks and buzzes from here (My mom STILL has that ancient explorer that may or may not be carseat suitable and I hope Bitsy's not 51 inches so she can ride in an expired laptop in there... my head is in a constant spin worrying about THAT alone! lol). I just hope you have a cool day the first time you try that exciting install :D
