My nephew had the same seat. He was born in 1983. Thankfully, it had a fabric cover. We would have cooked him in the Phoenix summers with that vinyl cover!

Too cute!

I'm trippin' off the tv trays--I remember us having the metal ones too!:p

Ebonic translation--"trippin' off" = having fun thinking about a certain thing;) I don't want someone to think that I was tripping on tv trays.

I remember saying to a girl, "I feel ya"--meaning I'm relating to her and she just couldn't get what I was saying--I'm thinking, Oh No, this girl thinks I want to feel her! LOL

Haha.. too cute, I love the fact your eating a popsicle and doing a good job at such a young age. You are a cute baby... We had the strolee without the pull down shield ours was one you put over our lap and belted in with seatbelt.. We all rode in it from 1980-1987

I rode in that same seat as well. My mom said she bought one for my sister born in 75, but it broke and she really liked the seat, so she bought the same model again. I'm not sure when it broke my brother (81) and I (83) continued to use it. I think my mom may have bought or made a fabric cover to go over the vinyl. She didn't make a cover for the shield though and I remember once, when I was bored, poking holes in the vinyl on the shield. My mom did make a cover for the shield at that point and continued to use it for grandkids and kids she babysat until about 1992-93.

Sure beats the laundry basket I road around in the 70's. Our car didn't have seat belts in the back until I was in high school! LOL Lap only belts in the front, my mom always wore hers, long before it was required...

I can only recall 1 picture of me in a carseat but it looks pretty much the same! I was born in 1981 too. I should go looking when I'm home in a few weeks! You were so cute!
