Selll my Multi Tech and replace it with an Radian? Now that the angle adjuster is out, I will probably get a better fit? What would you do?

Uh, I just put the MT in storage and got a new Radian. There were a few reasons, I've never been really happy with the install in my car, it will only stay tight for so long and I had to put a few towels underneath (and in the manual it says not to put anything under it afaik ) Then I admit I just wanted something different:p and DD has been unbuckling her seat, and although its gotten way better I still don't trust her completely.
For now I'm still holding on to it though, because she's only 4lbs away from the RF limit and I really don't want to FF her full time yet.
She likes it so far and another reason I like it is because her butt is more cushioned (I know some folks w/ the MT added a diaper liner, I just never did)

So yea, I'm not much help, but if it's financially possible you could try it and if it doesn't install well with the Angle Adjuster just sell the Radian again .

I had that thought too until I looked at the WHO growth charts and realized I don't even expect to get another 6 months out of RF radian, not even to age 3.5 . So mine might go in the basement, but it's not going away (and the angle adjuster makes the Mazda easier but still not easy).

i'm keeping my multi-tech as long as i can, even though my kids are petite. it's the best carseat i've ever seen. (double tether AND a footprop?? awesome.) i never had any installation issues in various cars (honda fit, ford focus, toyota suv, etc...) the simple plate-flipping system to change the recline eliminates the need for an additional accessory. yeah, the seat isn't as plush, but my kid doesn't mind. i also prefer its buckle without a chest clip, but then my MT occupant doesn't mess with buckles. such a well-designed seat.

The install problem is the Dodge Ram 1500, Sits crooked, I can get it in there tight, just isn't a match made in heaven. :)

What do you mean by that? Are you talking about the bottom support you flip for FF or RF?

yes. not sure what the official name for that part is. i believe the plate can be used in either position for RFing. i use mine fully reclined, though i can probably go either way since the tightly pulled tethers provide even more recline.

(sorry, can't multiquote on my android cso app.) well, the best carseat is the one which installs the best in a particular car. i nor my car are big radian fans. i am waiting for the clek foonf to be released though...

Ah thanks! I was always under the impression you could only use it all the way reclined for RF and straight up for FF.:p But even with the recline forward and my sloped seats the MT is waaay too upright without a bunch of towels under it so I wouldn't be able to use it that way.

Well... I loved it while I had it, but I think it is time to part with ways with the beauty. Of course when my hubby was asked the question sell or keep, he said sell because he would never be able to install it. He is correct.

I'm really debating on letting mine go as well, sooner rather than later. But then DD would probably pack on a few lbs and then I'd regret it, she's a chunker. Anyway, hope you'll be able to sell yours quickly. :)
