What should I do with my Snugride?

I have a Snugride I used with DD when she was a newborn -- DOM early 2005 (can't remember exact month, Jan or Feb I think). It's in pristine condition, never been in an accident, etc. It has a front adjuster, but no EPS foam.

I hung on to it all this time because I thought I'd have another child soon. Well, I have had some medical problems that have caused me to wait until at least next spring before trying to conceive, and with a history of infertility, I don't expect to get pregnant any time soon. So. . . it looks it'll be another 2 years at the earliest before I'd get around to using that seat. It'll be over 4 years old that that point. I know that's still within it's "life", but I think I'd much rather get a seat like the Safeseat or another one that has EPS foam.

Although I love the color (greyish-purple and black), there's no sense it in taking up precious closet space waiting for #2 to get here. So I'd like to get rid of it, especially since it still has some usable life left.

I'm not particularly interested in the money, though I wouldn't turn it down if someone wanted to pay me for it. So I could sell it, donate it, give it to one of you, etc. Any ideas?

I also have 2 bases to go with it. And a Metrolite stroller that was part of the travel system. I don't mind selling the stroller (I certainly have enough), but if I do I'd like a little money for it.

What would something like this be worth?

I would sell the stroller, and if you keep you eyes and ears open I am sure that you will find someone to give the seat to. At this point I don't think I would donate it to a tech only because it is a perfectly good seat that could be used to a child without other options. Maybe check with your hospital, there are probably a lot of Moms who could use a good seat but can't afford one!:twocents:
