My uncle is a post master and I have been known to whip out my own tape measure if I get a pissy clerk. I generally use the same size box that I know fits or I cut down a box to stay under the limit.

Wow... that sucks! I live in the middle of the country so shipping isn't too terrible if i can get it under the 108 mark.... but yeah, if you live on one coast and ship it to the other it'll be $$$$.

It cost me 58.00 to ship a PS parcel post. I will never ship a seat that heavy again.
The difference in price between a 107" box and a 108" box is $50.
Yeah when he told me "that'll be 69.xx" I said wait, what? And I took my box back so I could modify it.
