Booster seat for 7 year old

DS will be 7 soon and he's got maybe 6 months left in the Recaro Como in DH's car (he's short torsoed so still fits harness). He's been in a Parkway SG booster in my car for about 6 months and does will in it. I'm starting to think about which booster to get for DH's car. DS is about 45lbs, 46" - very lean build. He's very careful in the booster seat. It will go in a 2004 Prius. I have a safeguard Go that we use as a no back booster seat when needed for travel, so want this to be a HBB. It won't be used for travelling - either we take the GO or the Parkway. He's in DH's car 2-3 mornings for drop-off and all weekend.

Thanks.

Maybe the new Diono Monterey? Or the Recaro Vivo? Or if you really like the Parkway, maybe just get a second one.

My DS will be 7 in January and he's about 52in tall and 65lbs. I had to buy him the old style SK Monterey because he's so big and has wide shoulders. I've heard that the new Monterey fits smaller/thinner kids better. I'm probably looking at the Vivo for my DD (also 7 in January, twins), and she's around 44in tall and 44lbs.

DS told me today he does not like the Parkway head rests. He says they're not comfortable enough to rest his head on them. Says the plastic is too hard.

I think we can get to the Summer of next year, and we'll do some booster seat testing to find one that fit's him and has more cushioning in the head rest. The vivo is on the list as that looks like it would work for him.

I haven't been hanging around lately, need to read up on newer booster seats..didn't know there was a newer monterey.
