No EPS in Snugride?

I went to BRU this morning and while I was there, I checked out the infant seats we're considering whenever a new baby arrives. I do not plan on using an infant carrier any longer than it takes for an infant to fit into a Marathon. So I was looking at the Snugride instead of the SS1... And... there was no EPS foam! I peeled back the cover. Not one smidget of EPS foam anywhere to be seen. So I checked the other ones on the shelf: all of them had EPS foam except for one. Is this something they added? I'd hate to be an unsuspecting parent who tried it out, saw the foam, liked it, then picked up a box with one of the ones without the foam.

I'm pretty sure they're still making snugrides without eps

Like the cheaper ones they sell at walmart in travel systems with no front adjust.

None of the Snugrides where I love have EPS/EPP foam either + they're all back adjust.... We have the crappy version of the Snugride or the 3 point Evenflo: parents who want better have the option of the SS1 or Companion (both about the same very high price) -- too few people here are aware of ordering online or they just aren't allowing themselves to be convinced that it's worth it?

Yeah, it seems like EPS foam is only in the ones with front adjust. (from what I've noticed.

Our front adjust Snugride made in May 2004 just has the square of foam on the back.

They only started adding EPS foam this year.

I believe only the snugride "3" has the EPS foam in it. I remember reading a post about it awhile back now but I don't remember who posted it or the other details.

I vaguely remember the same thing. Not the same post you're referencing, but the same information.

The Snugride I have from 2005, 5pt with a front adjuster, does not have EPS foam at all.

No EPS in Snugride?
