Red mark on back from Radian?

So Joey got a Diono RXT about a week ago and we've been using it since then. I've noticed he gets pretty fussy after a while and then I noticed the last few times I've taken him out and looked at his back he had a big red mark like something was pushing on it right in the middle of his back. Maybe 2" x 3".

I have felt around and looked and I can't see anything hard that could be jabbing him.

Anyone else had this?

No I have not noticed this as a problem. I mention this only because my kids have super sensitive skin and any pressure would show up on them as a red mark. I have the red strap folded in their nicely and out of the way, though.

Ds often complains about his back hurting, he doesn't get a red mark (b/c of his coloring possibly), its about where the red strap is, but it isn't scrunched up or anything, and I can't cut it off b/c we need it for traveling to carry the seat in the airport and whatnot.

I went back and looked and yes the red strap was there. But it was laying flat. Could it still leave a mark laying flat? I figured under the cover it wouldn't be an issue. What am I supposed to do with it? No matter what I do its there lol

Maybe you guys could point the red strap up rather than letting it hang down? Maybe that would help?
